Sodexo Purchases Five Star Food Services

Sodexo’s convenience business, InReach, has acquired Five Star Food Services for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition of the Stafford, Texas-based Five Star expands InReach’s service offerings in the Houston metro area. This marks the second acquisition by Sodexo’s InReach division in recent months. In January, the company acquired K&R Vending Services.

“The acquisition of Five Star Food Services continues to propel Sodexo’s food transformation strategy,” said Husein Kitabwalla, Sodexo North American CEO of food transformation. “The rich history and proven success of Five Star Food Services, coupled with their dedication to unparalleled service standards, align harmoniously with Sodexo’s core values. This business tucks into our Houston facility perfectly. We are enthusiastic about the synergies and the enhanced value that our combined business will deliver to our clients.”
