Sodexo Canada Recognized for Progressive Aboriginal Relations

The energy and resources division of Sodexo’s Canadian division has been named a Gold Level certified Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) company by the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB).

Sodexo was recognized by CCAB for working with 84 Indigenous suppliers in 30 Indigenous communities across Canada to support local economic development and develop mutually beneficial partnerships. In addition, 63% of Sodexo Canada’s remote location workforce are Indigenous.

“Promoting, reinforcing, and nurturing business relationships with Indigenous communities and Nations is paramount to our work,” said Suzanne Bergeron, Sodexo Canada president. “Achieving CCAB PAR Gold certification is a clear demonstration of the commitment we have to build relationships that are true partnerships, designed to benefit communities where we operate over the long term.”
