Nebraska to Recognize Cleaning Week Thanks to RD Industries
Working with ISSA, the worldwide cleaning and facility solutions industry association, RD Industries encouraged Governor Jim Pillen to officially recognize March 23-29, 2025, as Cleaning Week in Nebraska in conjunction with International Cleaning Week. Gov. Pillen signed the official proclamation on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
International Cleaning Week occurs annually during the last full week of March. The week represents a unique opportunity to honor essential frontline cleaning industry professionals, celebrate the value of clean, and raise public awareness about the importance of creating healthy indoor environments for people to live, work, learn, and play.
RD Industries is a global leader in designing and manufacturing innovative closed-loop chemical dispensing systems. With a strong commitment to safety, sustainability, and efficiency, RD Industries provides cutting-edge solutions that help businesses optimize chemical usage while reducing waste and environmental impact. Headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, the company continues to set the standard for high-quality, reliable dispensing technology that enhances workplace safety and operational effectiveness.
“Our technology supports the efficient and precise use of cleaning solutions, helping maintain healthier and safer environments in workplaces, schools, and public spaces,” said RD Industries President and CEO Barbara Laible. “It is crucial that our government recognizes the value of this industry and the impact we make in protecting public health. I want to sincerely thank Governor Pillen for acknowledging the importance of our work and advocating for the industry’s needs.”
According to ISSA, cleaned and disinfected surfaces reduce virus concentration by 41.7%; when combined with hand hygiene, this increases to 85.4%. Additionally, cleanliness reduces instances of absenteeism and presenteeism in the workplace, which negatively impact productivity. Companies lose $8.9 trillion when employees are not fully functioning at work due to illness, injury, or another condition.
