Essendant has appointed David Boone interim CEO.

Boone, the former CEO of Staples Canada, has more than 30 years of proven business leadership experience, including numerous key management roles with a focus on the needs of customers and business partners.

Boone succeeds Harry Dochelli, who has made the personal decision to retire as president and CEO of Essendant following a successful 12-year tenure with the company and more than three decades in the industry. Dochelli will stay on as an advisor to the Essendant leadership team until December 31 in order to ensure a smooth transition.
