Dow Donates Millions in Hurricane Ida Relief Funds
Dow Chemical Co. has announced a US$2 million donation to support relief efforts from the damage wrought by Hurricane Ida in Louisiana.
Dow will collaborate with local and national relief agencies to distribute the funds and provide both immediate and long-term recovery and support to individuals impacted by the Category 4 hurricane. Dow will also offer interest-free loans and temporary housing options to its thousands of employees in Louisiana.
“Our thoughts and support are with all those impacted by Hurricane Ida,” said Jim Fitterling, Dow CEO. “Our primary focus right now is the safety of our colleagues, our operations, and our communities, and Team Dow is working closely with our partners and stakeholders to help with both the immediate and longer-term impacts of the storm.”
