Area Distributors Inc. has purchased its third acquisition of 2021—Chicago-based Hesco Inc.

Hesco has been in business since 1929, specializing in the sales of janitorial supplies and equipment, including vacuum parts. Hesco’s inventory and equipment has been relocated to Area Distributors’ headquarters in Quincy, Illinois. It expects the acquisition will lead to the creation of new jobs.

“Having Hesco become part of the Area Distributors family is transformative for both companies,” said Jeff Rupert, vice president of Area Distributors.  “Hesco has customers in all 50 states and even internationally.  The customer experience is excellent, with traditional customer service representatives and also a top-notch website for order entry.”

Hesco will retain its name and website.
